Xavier Torres Soto is an attorney-at- law and certified public accountant with more than a decade of experience in Taxation, Litigation, Estate Planning, Civil Practice, Contracts and Corporate Law. Currently, Torres is a member at MHSJ.

During his career, Torres has counseled and assisted a wide variety of businesses, institutions, and individual clients on a broad and diverse range of topics.

He has navigated clients through corporate reorganizations, mergers, conversions and acquisitions, tax incentive grants, tax rulings and closing agreements before the Puerto Rico Treasury Department and United States Internal Revenue Service. Additionally, Torres focuses on general commercial and civil litigation and strategic corporate and personal planning.

Torres joined MHSJ in 2007 as an associate attorney after obtaining his Juris Doctor. During law school Torres was a law clerk with Marichal & Hernández (now MHSJ), where he assisted in general legal actions, conducting research, drafting memorandums, complaints, deeds and other legal documents. As an accounting and finance student, he participated in an internship at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.
