Attorney – Maria Fernanda Archevald Cansobre

María Fernanda Archevald Cansobre joined the firm formerly known as Maymi Rivera, LLC as a Law Clerk in February 2016, and has been working as an Associate since 2017. Archevald-Cansobre is an attorney-at-law with significant practicing experience in the fields of Corporate law, Contracts, Real Estate, Trademark and Regulatory and Government Affairs.

Archevald- Cansobre assists clients with the preparation, negotiation and filing of tax exemption applications before the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company, and with applications under the Puerto Rico Tourism Development Act of 2010 before the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. Furthermore, she has had the opportunity to work on intellectual property matters, guiding our clients in the importance of protecting their trademarks.

While working towards her Juris Doctor degree, Ms. Archevald worked as a Summer Intern at Casals Advocats in Barcelona, Catalunya in 2015, as well as a Summer Intern at the Court of First Instance in San Juan, P.R. in 2014. As a law school student, she pursued working as a faculty research and analysis assistant for Professor Ana Matanzo Vicens in novel civil law issues, and also formed part of various student organizations. One of her most important contributions as a law student was to promote in 2015, together with other colleagues, the creation of the legal clinic for the functional diversity population, along with the creation of the INCED pro-bono, also aimed to serve the necessities of special education students.

Archevald-Cansobre is a licensed Notary for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
